Software company EZ Factory has been selected to participate in the Dutch trade mission at the tech fair CES Las Vegas from January 5-8, 2022. After Europe and Asia, the Eindhoven start-up is now entering the American market. Moreover, they will present a breakthrough technology here, leading to substantial improvements in factories. On Oct. 14, the press can meet the company during CES Unveiled in RAI Amsterdam.
World's Largest Tech Fair
CES is the world's premier tech fair and an international stage for innovation. Every year, more than 180,000 participants from over 160 countries gather here. A Dutch mission will participate in CES from January 5 to 8, 2022 and selected EZ Factory as one of the 50 start-ups for the 'Netherlands Tech Square'. The Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland selected among others on groundbreaking innovative technology that contributes to a 'responsible future' and has the potential to be applied on a large scale. The participants will be announced and introduce themselves at CES Unveiled: RAI Amsterdam, October 14, 2021, 09:30 - 16:30.
EZ-GO app and platform
The EZ-GO app, in combination with the linked data platform, supports production at the base, with the operators, thus visibly and measurably improving the safety, quality and efficiency of the production process. This starts with digitizing first-line maintenance tasks, checklists, audits, training and work instructions. In addition, the platform generates intelligent data analytics to optimize processes. Founders Randy Appiah and Robert Bouwman come from a production environment themselves and base the solution on their own experiences. Appiah: "People often think too complicated about improving production processes. We start with the basics: the people who manufacture the products every day, and those are the operators. While the system is very sophisticated at the back, it is very easy to use at the front, including short instruction videos and user-friendly checklists. In addition, it is easy to link to other systems."
Overview and improvement
One of the first-time customers is FrieslandCampina, which must meet high standards in food safety and operational efficiency. They have been using the platform since 2018. The Continuous Improvement manager involved in the implementation said, "With EZ-GO we have an overview, we can steer, we improve the process, safety, quality and efficiency. The EZ-GO app is the enabler of improvements."
Breakthrough: improving processes with data
At CES 2022, from January 5 to 8 in Las Vegas, EZ Factory will present a first: the skills booster. Robert Bouwman: "The skills booster consists of two parts. The EZ-GO app itself makes it possible to easily train new operators and secure the knowledge of experienced operators. The data module linked to it shows how processes work in practice. This gives insight into the training needs of individual operators or teams, and shows where a process is faltering and could be improved. We are presenting this module at CES 2022." It is one of many applications, Randy Appiah adds: "You can support operations management on multiple fronts with the analytical capabilities of this platform." As the company grows rapidly, it hopes to connect with new corporate users as well as technology, marketing and sales partners at CES 2022. Now that the company has a solid foothold in Europe and Asia, it is eager to expand its scope to the US.
