The Dutch Technology Week (DTW) unfortunately cannot take place physically, but the organization is organizing an online edition from June 8 to 13! As the organization writes on its website: "This year everything is different, but technology and its numerous applications are also now impossible to imagine away from our daily existence, our life and work. With that in mind, we are putting technology in the 'spotlight' from June 8 to 13 and there are a number of online events. For example, you can think of inspiring podcasts, surprising videos and 'do-it-yourself-at-home' workshops."
From today until Saturday, June 13, the DTW offers a varied program. For young and old, enthusiast or professional: on the online DTW stage you can experience technology in innovative and interesting ways. There are videos and podcasts, online workshops and lectures as well as fun.
Podcasts
Every day there are interesting Podcast to listen to. On Monday, June 8, Frits van Hout (Executive Board ASML) talks about the DTW and opportunities for the future. On Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday you can listen to some inspiring tech videos. And on Wednesday, Gerard Zwartkruis (Rabobank Eindhoven), Paul van Nunen (Brainport Development) and Alex Pap of startup XYZ Dynamics will tell you more about the Bright Move emergency fund.
Science & Tech Online Quiz
On Thursday, June 11, you are welcome to participate in the Science & Tech Online Quiz that will be streamed live. From Einstein to iPhone, from Newton to Hawking and from the history of science to the latest gadgets, you can expect all kinds of questions in this quiz that covers all the big and small topics from the world of science and technology. This quiz will be streamed live on YouTube. It is hosted in English and is suitable for an international audience. Invite your colleagues, friends and family! The quiz can be played in teams of up to 5 people. For all our European players, this quiz is a perfect way to enjoy a Thursday night with your science & tech loving friends. It will serve as a lunch quiz in San Francisco, an afternoon quiz in New York and Rio and a midnight quiz for all Indian quiz fans.
Dutch Technology Week
The DTW traditionally creates a stage for technology in the spring because solutions to major societal challenges are not found without applications of technology. The 9th live edition of the Dutch Technology Week will not take place this year due to Covid-19. But the importance of technology, its many applications and relevance is certainly also apparent now in this special time. The online edition Dutch Technology Week is made possible by the Region Deal Brainport Eindhoven.
It promises to be a special week.
The next live edition of Dutch Technology Week is scheduled from May 31 to June 5, 2021.
