The SME Fixed Charge Allowance (TVL) is back. TVL helps pay for fixed costs, such as: rent, leases, maintenance, insurance, leases and subscriptions. And it can be interesting if you expect to lose at least 20% in sales in the fourth quarter of 2021 or the first quarter of 2022.
On December 21, 2021, the Cabinet widened the TVL scheme by lowering the turnover loss threshold from 30% to 20%. Entrepreneurs who suffered between 20% and 30% turnover loss in Q4 2021 can now also apply for TVL. The adjustment of the scheme is yet to be approved by the European Commission
TVL Q4 2021
The TVL Q4 2021 is intended for all entrepreneurs who expect at least 20% loss of sales in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the fourth quarter of 2019 or the first quarter of 2020. Entrepreneurs who have not previously applied for TVL can also apply for TVL.
TVL Q1 2022
The government is extending the TVL with the TVL Q1 2022, due to the extension of the tightened corona measures. The TVL Q1 2022 is intended for all entrepreneurs who expect at least 20% loss of sales in the first quarter of 2022 from a period to be announced.
Scheme contents
TVL helps to pay fixed costs, such as: rent, leases, maintenance, insurance, leases and subscriptions. Wage costs are not included in this, for which the NOW scheme applies.
TVL covers 100% of the calculated fixed costs and is intended for all companies in the Netherlands.
TVL Q4 2021
To qualify, the company must have at least a 20% loss of sales in the 4th quarter of 2021. The turnover loss is determined by comparing the turnover in the 4th quarter of 2021 with that in the 4th quarter of 2019 or the 1st quarter of 2020. Business owners can choose the most favorable reference period.
TVL Q1 2022
To qualify, the company must have a minimum 20% loss of sales in Q1 2022. The reference period for TVL Q1 2022 is yet to be announced.
Terms
TVL Q1 2022 will have the same conditions outside the reference period as TVL Q4 2021.
Request
You can apply for TVL for Q4 2021 from December 20, 2021 until January 28, 2022 5 p.m. via the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland ( RVO). For TVL Q1 2022, the opening date is not yet known.
