Last week we read on Innovation Origins that Start-ups from this Brainport Eindhoven region managed to secure the most EU funding in the Benelux. Great news! The information comes from the 'EIC Accelerator data hub', the database of the European Innovation Council (EIC). This EU pilot supports innovators and small companies.
Start-ups from Brainport Eindhoven receive the most EU funding from the Benelux.
As many as thirty-three companies in Eindhoven benefited! Among them TU/e campus-based Tusti (hub Catalyst) and Smart Photonics. The High Tech Campus hosted no less than 5 startups that received an EU contribution: Intrinsic ID (formerly located in hub Beta), Bambi Medical, IBIS Power BV, Spincontrol Gearing BV and Usono.
EIC's goal is to create new markets by funding innovative companies. Since EIC's inception in 2014, they have helped more than four thousand companies.
Brainport Eindhoven (one of Twice's shareholders) is a regional partnership between governments, knowledge institutions and industry. Technology and design are the connecting elements. Brainport Eindhoven works on solutions to problems in health, mobility, energy, food and safety.
